ABOUT

BACKGROUND

Yeon is multidisciplinary Art Director / Designer / Creative / Entrepreneur. He truly believes in the power of creativity and the idea that matters to people. His endless curiosity makes him a doer, a pioneer, and a challenger

Doer

Yeon went to the School of Visual Arts to learn Graphic Design, Interactive Design, and Advertising. His doer mind lets him achieve various awards from Cannes Future Lions, One Show, D&AD, New York Festival, Clios Award, and even more. This teaches him the importance of education and the lack of supports for international students. So, it drives him to become an educator and a mentor from the School of Visual Arts.

Pioneer

Yeon is a pirate of curiosity. This drives him to move around and live in all of the different worlds from South Korea to Canada to the United States. (New Jersey, New York, Los Angeles, and Seattle) So, he understands the importance of culture, different background, and diversity which always are the key to all of his works.

Challenger

He values 'experience.' This always keeps him motivated and allows him to challenge every moment. He wanted to have as much experience as possible.

In his Sophomore year in college, he started an interactive retail service using a VR experience in Korea called 'The 3D Story.' It was the FIRST company that started integrating VR experience into the retail service.

He started his career at Elephant working for Goldman Sachs, Comcast, Apple, Blackstone, Hyundai, MSCI, etc... He worked with UX/UI Designers to build digital and interactive experiences. And created communication and advertising.

Then, he moved to Grey expanding his career into more creative works with Amazon Photos, Amazon We Service, Hasbro, University of California, etc... He challenges to work on more meaningful works that matter to people.

After experiencing COVID-19 and BLM, Yeon decided to start another Non-profit company called 'Signs For A Cause.' It's the first-ever image library platform solely for protesting and raising people's voices. So, he was invited to present his story and platform at a start-up conference in Korea.

Since the move to Westcoast, he no longer can teach from the School of Visual Arts. But he was very interested in the power and ecosystem of Youtube. And he saw an opportunity to keep helping students and sharing knowledge through Youtube. So, he created a Youtube channel called 'ADicted.' He has hundred-ish subscribers yet he enjoys creating content.
